The Two-Minute Lie

#2minute#friction

If a new habit can’t start in two minutes, it’s too big.

The rule is simple: any new routine must fit into a two-minute start. Not completion — start. “Read a book” becomes “read one page.” “Work out” — “do one push-up.”

Why? Because the hardest part is starting. Two minutes doesn’t register as a threat to the brain. And once you start, inertia takes over.

Tip: take the habit you keep putting off and shrink its start to two minutes. Honestly. When the start gets small — start tomorrow.
